But there is one thing that you can do to make the packing process a bit easier when moving house – plan ahead. Following a packing plan helps to take the stress out of packing your belongings safely, smartly and securely.

A Simple, Smart Packing Plan for Moving House

1. Make a list of the items you consider to be your priorities

This is also a great time to do a spring clean of your belongings, and to get some items together that a charity might be very grateful for. If you want to make some money from the you could hold a car-boot sale or auction them on E-Bay.

2. Calculate how many boxes you’ll need.
